Warranty & Aftercare
Coverage
This warranty applies to authentic Chelwish products purchased through our official website or authorised partners.
The warranty period is 12 months from the date of purchase and covers normal use under recommended care.
Complimentary Warranty (Manufacturing Defects)
If a functional issue arises due to a manufacturing or material defect, such as:
- Broken stitching
- Hardware detachment
- Structural or adhesive failure
Chelwish will, at its discretion:
- Repair or replace the item at no cost
- Cover round-trip shipping
- Offer an equivalent alternative if the original material or colour is unavailable
Wear, Damage, or Misuse (Non-Defect Issues)
If the issue is caused by regular wear or external factors, Chelwish may offer paid repair services where feasible:
- Repairs will be completed to the best possible standard
- A clear quotation will be provided before proceeding
- Round-trip shipping costs will be covered by the customer
- Minor colour or finish variations may remain after repair and are considered normal
Not Covered Under Complimentary Warranty
The following are not considered manufacturing defects:
- Normal wear and tear, natural aging, or patina (e.g., leather creasing, softened edges, mild hardware oxidation)
- Damage caused by misuse, accidents, overloading, impact, or force
- Exposure to water, moisture, mold, chemicals, alcohol, cleaners, or dye transfer from fabrics
- Damage caused by improper storage, including heat, sunlight, or damp conditions
- Unauthorised repairs or modifications
- Complimentary items, packaging, or non-product components
How to Request Warranty or Aftercare Service
- Submit a request: Contact Chelwish Customer Care with your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos or videos.
- Initial assessment: An initial assessment will confirm eligibility, repair options, and shipping responsibilities.
- Send-in & repair: If approved, securely ship the item as instructed (remove personal items).
- Quality check & return: After repair and quality inspection, your item will be returned.
Tip: Retain your shipping receipt and consider insured shipping.

- Cross-Border shipments may be subject to customs duties or clearance fees per local regulations

Storage
- When not in use, store your bag in its original dust bag, placed upright and away from direct sunlight, heat, or humidity.
- Lightly fill the interior with acid-free tissue paper, a soft cloth, or a pillow insert to help maintain its shape.
- Keep handles and straps in a relaxed position to prevent bending or distortion.
Daily Use
- Avoid overfilling the bag, as excessive weight may stretch or deform the leather, lining, or handles.
- Prevent contact with dark or untreated fabrics to reduce the risk of colour transfer, particularly on lighter leather shades.
- Keep the bag away from makeup, hand creams, perfumes, and oils, which may cause staining.
Cleaning
- If exposed to water or dirt, gently blot the surface with a clean, dry, light-coloured cloth and allow it to air dry naturally. Do not rub or apply heat.
- For routine care, use only a soft, dry cloth. Avoid soaps, alcohol, creams, waterproofing sprays, or abrasive cleaning products.
